Steelhead Fishing Report, Deschutes River

Nancy Neubeiser's first steelhead on the fly... it couldn't be better!

Fishing has been good.  Fish have been really grabby, but also have been taking very lightly.  If you count all the bumps, plucks, and grabs, fishing has been outstanding.  Floating lines have been producing well, even during bright sun shine.  This morning I helped Charlie Crutcher land his first steelhead... a flawless eight pound wild hen! (photo above).  Back out for an evening session...
