Let Go a Little

There is no better time to sit at the computer than when the rivers blow. A few days ago we were knee deep in green water swinging classics like this Akroyd, tied by Jason Thomas (Portland OR).

We did fish some intruders and metal detectors too, but the joy I felt guiding this guy who put a lot of heart and soul into his beautiful and artistic flies has resonated with me since that day.

The point is, if you can let go a little of having to "maximize your chances" there is no limit to the fun you can have, and you are already positioned for success. And if you hook up while fishing on your own terms the reward is exponentially greater.
