A memorable winter season
Feels like only a few days ago I wrote my first winter fishing report. I just finished my last days of winter/spring steelhead fishing on the coast. All things considered, it has been a memorable winter season.
Paul Arnold (Vancouver, WA) spent his first day of spey casting on the Oregon coast. After a full day of diligent practice, Paul was struck hard by this slender spring hen. The fish was holding in a fast heavy seem only a mile or so from tidewater!
To those who fished with me this winter, thank you. It has been a treat living near the rivers and spending so much time on them. Thanks for your support and comradery!
We'll be driving to Maupin tomorrow... I'm ready for 70 degrees and sun shine! Check in with us soon for a fresh trout report.
