Happy Holidays from RRO

It's the season when we reel in our lines and reflect on the past year.  Looking back at 2016 we made some great memories as well as progress.

Early in the year I reached a personal milestone... guiding an angler into a winter steelhead with a floating line and unweighted fly.

We were fortunate to have Nick Rowell guiding with us for his eighth consecutive season.

We have also been fortunate to recruit Sterling Dillingham, a young hard working guide with a very bright future ahead of him.

Mid summer we outfitted our largest trip to date.  A six day, five night float trip for 12 anglers.  This was a trout fishing float from Trout Creek to Maupin.  In short it was a huge success.

We had a new jet boat built and have made leaps and bounds learning to safely run up and down the Deschutes River below Mack's Canyon, now offering our guests the most comprehensive menu of guided fishing options on the Lower Deschutes River.

It is also the time to consider everyone we have to be thankful for.  We are very grateful for our clients and friends who, by fishing with us, not only put food on my family's table but make my dreams a reality.  Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
